Auction result well in line with expectations
In April this year Bonhams held the auction Discovery Prints Sale Online, which included the work Sid Vicious by Gavin Turk. The price achieved of GBP 637.50 (€ 726.54) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 500.00 – 700.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Gavin Turk achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Pile in June 2015 with an auction result of GBP 104,500.00 (€ 147,343.69).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im April diesen Jahres führte Bonhams die Auktion Discovery Prints Sale Online durch, in der auch die Arbeit Sid Vicious von Gavin Turk zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 637,50 (€ 726,54) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 500,00 – 700,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Gavin Turk erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Pile im Juni 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 104.500,00 (€ 147.343,69).
