Auction result well in line with expectations
The work View Of Etretat by Gaston Roullet was sold in the Tableaux, Sculptures et Dessins Anciens et du XIXe siècle auction at Sothebys in Paris in June 2017. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of EUR 4,000.00 – 6,000.00, the actual price achieved of EUR 4,375.00 could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Gaston Roullet - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Vue de Tourane au Vietnam, which sold at auction in December last year for EUR 16,575.00.

Die Arbeit View Of Etretat von Gaston Roullet wurde im Juni 2017 in der Auktion Tableaux, Sculptures et Dessins Anciens et du XIXe siècle bei Sothebys in Paris versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von EUR 4.375,00 konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Gaston Roullet mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Vue de Tourane au Vietnam beobachtet, die im Dezember letzten Jahres für EUR 16.575,00 versteigert wurde.
