Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Seaside View Of Thuan An by Gaston Roullet was sold in the Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian auction at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2013. The price achieved of HKD 50,000.00 (€ 4,744.74) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 40,000.00 – 60,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Gaston Roullet - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Vue de Tourane au Vietnam, which sold at auction in December last year for EUR 16,575.00.

Die Arbeit Seaside View Of Thuan An von Gaston Roullet wurde im Oktober 2013 in der Auktion Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian bei Sothebys in Hong Kong versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 50.000,00 (€ 4.744,74) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 40.000,00 – 60.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Gaston Roullet mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Vue de Tourane au Vietnam beobachtet, die im Dezember letzten Jahres für EUR 16.575,00 versteigert wurde.
