Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2012 Sothebys in Hong Kong held the auction Modern & Contemporary Southeast Asian Paintings, which included the work Haiphong, Tonkin by Gaston Roullet. It changed hands for a price of HKD 56,250.00 (€ 5,599.82) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of HKD 40,000.00 – 60,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Gaston Roullet - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Vue de Tourane au Vietnam, which sold at auction in December last year for EUR 16,575.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober 2012 führte Sothebys in Hong Kong die Auktion Modern & Contemporary Southeast Asian Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Haiphong, Tonkin von Gaston Roullet zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von HKD 56.250,00 (€ 5.599,82) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 40.000,00 – 60.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Gaston Roullet mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Vue de Tourane au Vietnam beobachtet, die im Dezember letzten Jahres für EUR 16.575,00 versteigert wurde.
