Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Vietnamese Civil and Military Servants in Indochina | 中南半島之越南公務員及軍隊職員 by Gaston Roullet was sold in the La Mystique de L'Indochine auction at Sothebys in Hong Kong in December 2020. The price achieved of HKD 25,200.00 (€ 2,658.05) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. Admittedly, works by Gaston Roullet have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Vue de Tourane au Vietnam in December last year with an auction result of EUR 16,575.00.

Die Arbeit Vietnamese Civil and Military Servants in Indochina | 中南半島之越南公務員及軍隊職員 von Gaston Roullet wurde im Dezember 2020 in der Auktion La Mystique de L'Indochine bei Sothebys in Hong Kong versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 25.200,00 (€ 2.658,05) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 20.000,00 – 30.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Gaston Roullet auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Vue de Tourane au Vietnam im Dezember letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 16.575,00.
