This price was achieved in the auction Old Master and British Paintings at Christies in London and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of GBP 6,000.00 many times over. Admittedly, works by Gaspard Dughet have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work A wooded landscape with figures by a river in April 2007 with an auction result of USD 324,000.00 (€ 237,188.87).
