Auction result well in line with expectations
The work A Classical Landscape With Figures Resting By A Lake, A Town Beyond by Gaspard Dughet was auctioned at Christies in London in April 2006. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 4,000.00 – 6,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 4,200.00 (€ 6,061.79) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Gaspard Dughet achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A wooded landscape with figures by a river in April 2007 with an auction result of USD 324,000.00 (€ 237,188.87).

Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 4.200,00 (€ 6.061,79) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen.
