Auction result misses estimated price range
In March 2015 a collector was able to acquire the work Libra Dos by Gary Webb for GBP 3,500.00 (€ 4,838.93). This price was achieved in the auction Bear Witness | #SothebysBearWitness at Sothebys in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 4,000.00 – 6,000.00 set by the auction house. Other works by Gary Webb have also sold for higher prices; the highest price we have seen at auction so far was achieved in March 2019 by the work Double Bubble at GBP 7,500.00 (€ 8,705.02).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im März 2015 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Libra Dos von Gary Webb für GBP 3.500,00 (€ 4.838,93) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Bear Witness | #SothebysBearWitness bei Sothebys in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 4.000,00 – 6.000,00. Andere Arbeiten von Gary Webb wurden auch schon teurer gehandelt; den höchsten Preis, den wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachten konnten, erzielte im März 2019 die Arbeit Double Bubble mit GBP 7.500,00 (€ 8.705,02).
