Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Ultimate Taste of Capitalism by Gao Yu was sold in the BRIC Theme Sale auction at Phillips in London in April 2010. It changed hands for a price of GBP 18,750.00 (€ 21,577.58) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 15,000.00 – 20,000.00. Admittedly, works by Gao Yu have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work National Treasure(Painted in 2006) in October last year with an auction result of HKD 912,000.00 (€ 116,868.93).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Ultimate Taste of Capitalism von Gao Yu wurde im April 2010 in der Auktion BRIC Theme Sale bei Phillips in London versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 18.750,00 (€ 21.577,58) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 15.000,00 – 20.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Gao Yu auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit National Treasure(Painted in 2006) im Oktober letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 912.000,00 (€ 116.868,93).
