Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Hello Panda-Gg by Gao Yu was sold in the Contemporary Asian Art auction at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2011. Here, the upper estimate of HKD 400,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for HKD 437,500.00 (€ 40,402.95). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Gao Yu - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work National Treasure(Painted in 2006), which sold at auction in October last year for HKD 912,000.00 (€ 116,868.93).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Hello Panda-Gg von Gao Yu wurde im Oktober 2011 in der Auktion Contemporary Asian Art bei Sothebys in Hong Kong versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von HKD 400.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für HKD 437.500,00 (€ 40.402,95) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Gao Yu mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit National Treasure(Painted in 2006) beobachtet, die im Oktober letzten Jahres für HKD 912.000,00 (€ 116.868,93) versteigert wurde.
