In September 2007 Sothebys in New York held the auction Contemporary Art Asia: China, Korea, Japan, which included the work Art'S Dew Splatters Across The Globe by Gao Yu. The result of USD 7,000.00 (€ 4,922.99) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of USD 7,000.00 – 10,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Gao Yu achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work National Treasure(Painted in 2006) in October last year with an auction result of HKD 912,000.00 (€ 116,868.93).
Zuschlag beim unteren Schätzpreis
Im September 2007 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Contemporary Art Asia: China, Korea, Japan durch, in der auch die Arbeit Art'S Dew Splatters Across The Globe von Gao Yu zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von USD 7.000,00 (€ 4.922,99) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 7.000,00 – 10.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Gao Yu erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit National Treasure(Painted in 2006) im Oktober letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 912.000,00 (€ 116.868,93).
