Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Erotic Art by Gao Yu was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in March 2007. The price achieved of USD 24,000.00 (€ 17,945.27) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. Admittedly, works by Gao Yu have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work National Treasure(Painted in 2006) in October last year with an auction result of HKD 912,000.00 (€ 116,868.93).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Erotic Art von Gao Yu kam im März 2007 bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 24.000,00 (€ 17.945,27) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 20.000,00 – 30.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Gao Yu auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit National Treasure(Painted in 2006) im Oktober letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 912.000,00 (€ 116.868,93).
