The work Globefish In A Fool'S Paradise No.2 by Gao Yu was sold in the Contemporary Chinese Art (Part II) auction at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2007. It achieved a price of HKD 199,500.00 (€ 17,787.88), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 66%. Admittedly, works by Gao Yu have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work National Treasure(Painted in 2006) in October last year with an auction result of HKD 912,000.00 (€ 116,868.93).

Die Arbeit Globefish In A Fool'S Paradise No.2 von Gao Yu wurde im Oktober 2007 in der Auktion Contemporary Chinese Art (Part II) bei Sothebys in Hong Kong versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von HKD 199.500,00 (€ 17.787,88) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 66%. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Gao Yu auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit National Treasure(Painted in 2006) im Oktober letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 912.000,00 (€ 116.868,93).
