Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2015 China Guardian in Hong Kong held the auction Chinese Painting and Calligraphy from the Four Seas, which included the work Five-Character Poem In Running Script by Gao Yong. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 10,000.00 – 20,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 11,800.00 (€ 1,378.55) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Gao Yong have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Running Script Calligraphy in November 2015 with an auction result of HKD 62,500.00 (€ 7,633.50).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober 2015 führte China Guardian in Hong Kong die Auktion Chinese Painting and Calligraphy from the Four Seas durch, in der auch die Arbeit Five-Character Poem In Running Script von Gao Yong zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 10.000,00 – 20.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von HKD 11.800,00 (€ 1.378,55) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Gao Yong auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Running Script Calligraphy im November 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 62.500,00 (€ 7.633,50).
