Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2015 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction Fine Chinese Classical Paintings and Calligraphy, which included the work Calligraphic Couplet In Running Script by Gao Yong. It changed hands for a price of HKD 18,750.00 (€ 2,290.05) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of HKD 10,000.00 – 20,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Gao Yong - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Running Script Calligraphy, which sold at auction in November 2015 for HKD 62,500.00 (€ 7,633.50).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2015 führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion Fine Chinese Classical Paintings and Calligraphy durch, in der auch die Arbeit Calligraphic Couplet In Running Script von Gao Yong zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von HKD 18.750,00 (€ 2.290,05) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 10.000,00 – 20.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Gao Yong mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Running Script Calligraphy beobachtet, die im November 2015 für HKD 62.500,00 (€ 7.633,50) versteigert wurde.
