Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Gao Yong achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Hong Kong in November 2012. In the Fine Chinese Classical Paintings and Calligraphy auction, the work Calligraphic Couplet sold for HKD 62,500.00 (€ 6,197.16) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 30,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Gao Yong; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Running Script Calligraphy sold at auction in November 2015 with the realized price of HKD 62,500.00 (€ 7,633.50).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Gao Yong erzielte im November 2012 bei Christies in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Fine Chinese Classical Paintings and Calligraphy wurde die Arbeit Calligraphic Couplet für HKD 62.500,00 (€ 6.197,16) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 30.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Gao Yong; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Running Script Calligraphy im November 2015 mit dem Hammerpreis von HKD 62.500,00 (€ 7.633,50).
