Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2010 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction Chinese 20th Century Art (Day Sale), which included the work Street No. 2 by Gao Xiaohua. The price achieved of HKD 87,500.00 (€ 8,645.29) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 60,000.00 – 100,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Gao Xiaohua - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work without title, which sold at auction in September 2007 for USD 43,000.00 (€ 30,241.23).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2010 führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion Chinese 20th Century Art (Day Sale) durch, in der auch die Arbeit Street No. 2 von Gao Xiaohua zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 87.500,00 (€ 8.645,29) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 60.000,00 – 100.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Gao Xiaohua mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit ohne Titel beobachtet, die im September 2007 für USD 43.000,00 (€ 30.241,23) versteigert wurde.
