Auction result well in line with expectations
The work New Yorkers #3 by Gao Xiaohua was auctioned at Christies in Hong Kong in November 2013. The price achieved of HKD 125,000.00 (€ 11,851.39) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 100,000.00 – 150,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Gao Xiaohua - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work without title, which sold at auction in September 2007 for USD 43,000.00 (€ 30,241.23).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit New Yorkers #3 von Gao Xiaohua kam im November 2013 bei Christies in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 125.000,00 (€ 11.851,39) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 100.000,00 – 150.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Gao Xiaohua mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit ohne Titel beobachtet, die im September 2007 für USD 43.000,00 (€ 30.241,23) versteigert wurde.
