Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Sewing by Gao Xiaohua was sold in the Chinese 20th Century Art (Day Sale) auction at Christies in Hong Kong in May 2010. The price achieved of HKD 100,000.00 (€ 10,388.88) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 80,000.00 – 120,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Gao Xiaohua - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work without title, which sold at auction in September 2007 for USD 43,000.00 (€ 30,241.23).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Sewing von Gao Xiaohua wurde im Mai 2010 in der Auktion Chinese 20th Century Art (Day Sale) bei Christies in Hong Kong versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 100.000,00 (€ 10.388,88) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 80.000,00 – 120.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Gao Xiaohua mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit ohne Titel beobachtet, die im September 2007 für USD 43.000,00 (€ 30.241,23) versteigert wurde.
