Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Calligraphy In Regular Script by Gao Kai was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in March 2015. The price achieved of USD 3,500.00 (€ 3,258.54) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 2,000.00 – 5,000.00. Other works by Gao Kai have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in May 2016 the work Seven-Character Couplet In Running Script was auctioned for HKD 37,760.00 (€ 4,364.36).
