In October 2016 Sothebys in Hong Kong held the auction Fine Classical Chinese Paintings, which included the work Calligraphy Couplet In Running Script by Gao Kai. The result of HKD 30,000.00 (€ 3,530.38) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of HKD 30,000.00 – 50,000.00. Other works by Gao Kai have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in May 2016 the work Seven-Character Couplet In Running Script was auctioned for HKD 37,760.00 (€ 4,364.36).
Zuschlag beim unteren Schätzpreis
Im Oktober 2016 führte Sothebys in Hong Kong die Auktion Fine Classical Chinese Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Calligraphy Couplet In Running Script von Gao Kai zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von HKD 30.000,00 (€ 3.530,38) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 30.000,00 – 50.000,00. Andere Arbeiten von Gao Kai konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im Mai 2016 die Arbeit Seven-Character Couplet In Running Script für HKD 37.760,00 (€ 4.364,36) versteigert.
