Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Gao Jianseng achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Hong Kong in May 2007. In the Fine Modern Chinese Paintings auction, the work Lily and Bees sold for HKD 114,000.00 (€ 10,855.13) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 40,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Gao Jianseng - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Tower in the Mist, which sold at auction in November 2011 for HKD 350,000.00 (€ 33,483.24).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Gao Jianseng erzielte im Mai 2007 bei Christies in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Fine Modern Chinese Paintings wurde die Arbeit Lily and Bees für HKD 114.000,00 (€ 10.855,13) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 40.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Gao Jianseng mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Tower in the Mist beobachtet, die im November 2011 für HKD 350.000,00 (€ 33.483,24) versteigert wurde.
