The work Peach Blossom And Bird by Gao Jianseng was sold in the Fine Chinese Modern Paintings auction at Christies in Hong Kong in May 2019. The auction ended at the price of HKD 100,000.00 (€ 11,444.97), which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of HKD 80,000.00 – 100,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Gao Jianseng - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Tower in the Mist, which sold at auction in November 2011 for HKD 350,000.00 (€ 33,483.24).
Zuschlag beim oberen Schätzpreis
Die Arbeit Peach Blossom And Bird von Gao Jianseng wurde im Mai 2019 in der Auktion Fine Chinese Modern Paintings bei Christies in Hong Kong versteigert. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von HKD 100.000,00 (€ 11.444,97) entsprach exakt dem oberen Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 80.000,00 – 100.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Gao Jianseng mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Tower in the Mist beobachtet, die im November 2011 für HKD 350.000,00 (€ 33.483,24) versteigert wurde.
