A top price for Gao Jian

This artwork by Gao Jian achieved an unexpectedly high price at POLY in Hong Kong in October 2013. In the Classical Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy auction, the work Landscape sold for HKD 552,000.00 (€ 52,381.93) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 200,000.00. This high result makes Landscape the most expensive artwork by Gao Jian that we have observed at auctions so far.
