Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Landscape after Ancient Masters by Gao Jian was sold in the Fine Classical Chinese Paintings auction at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2021. The price achieved of HKD 352,800.00 (€ 39,244.11) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 300,000.00 – 400,000.00. Other works by Gao Jian have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in October 2013 the work Landscape was auctioned for HKD 552,000.00 (€ 52,381.93).
