Auction result well in line with expectations
In March 2018 Christies in New York held the auction Fine Chinese Paintings, which included the work Landscape in the Style of Shen Zhou by Gao Jian. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 3,000.00 – 6,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 3,750.00 (€ 3,043.83) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Gao Jian achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Landscape in October 2013 with an auction result of HKD 552,000.00 (€ 52,381.93).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im März 2018 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Fine Chinese Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Landscape in the Style of Shen Zhou von Gao Jian zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 3.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 3.750,00 (€ 3.043,83) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Gao Jian erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Landscape im Oktober 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 552.000,00 (€ 52.381,93).
