In September 2018 Christies in New York held the auction South Asian Modern + Contemporary Art, which included this untitled work by Ganesh Haloi. The »bidding war« ended at USD 16,250.00 (€ 13,982.10), 35% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Ganesh Haloi have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Lord Buddha the Enlightened One in October 2021 with an auction result of GBP 50,250.00 (€ 59,532.68).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 35 % übertroffen
Im September 2018 führte Christies in New York die Auktion South Asian Modern + Contemporary Art durch, in der auch diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Ganesh Haloi zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 16.250,00 (€ 13.982,10) und damit 35% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Ganesh Haloi auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The Lord Buddha the Enlightened One im Oktober 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 50.250,00 (€ 59.532,68).
