Auction result misses estimated price range
In March 2012 a collector was able to acquire this work without title by Ganesh Haloi for USD 11,875.00 (€ 8,905.80). This price was achieved in the auction Modern & Contemporary South Asian Art at Sothebys in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 12,000.00 – 18,000.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by Ganesh Haloi have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Lord Buddha the Enlightened One in October 2021 with an auction result of GBP 50,250.00 (€ 59,532.68).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im März 2012 konnte ein Sammler diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Ganesh Haloi für USD 11.875,00 (€ 8.905,80) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Modern & Contemporary South Asian Art bei Sothebys in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 12.000,00 – 18.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Ganesh Haloi auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The Lord Buddha the Enlightened One im Oktober 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 50.250,00 (€ 59.532,68).
