Auction result well in line with expectations
This work without title by Ganesh Haloi was sold in the Indian Art Including Miniatures & Modern Indian Paintings auction at Sothebys in New York in September 2006. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 40,000.00 – 60,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 45,000.00 (€ 35,469.38) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Other works by Ganesh Haloi have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in October 2021 the work The Lord Buddha the Enlightened One was auctioned for GBP 50,250.00 (€ 59,532.68).

Diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Ganesh Haloi wurde im September 2006 in der Auktion Indian Art Including Miniatures & Modern Indian Paintings bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 40.000,00 – 60.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 45.000,00 (€ 35.469,38) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Andere Arbeiten von Ganesh Haloi konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im Oktober 2021 die Arbeit The Lord Buddha the Enlightened One für GBP 50.250,00 (€ 59.532,68) versteigert.
