In September 2017 Christies in New York held the auction South Asian Modern + Contemporary Art, which included the work Untitled (Verdancy Series) by Ganesh Haloi. The »bidding war« ended at USD 18,750.00 (€ 15,872.34), 56% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Ganesh Haloi - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Lord Buddha the Enlightened One, which sold at auction in October 2021 for GBP 50,250.00 (€ 59,532.68).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 56 % übertroffen
Im September 2017 führte Christies in New York die Auktion South Asian Modern + Contemporary Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Untitled (Verdancy Series) von Ganesh Haloi zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 18.750,00 (€ 15.872,34) und damit 56% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Ganesh Haloi mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit The Lord Buddha the Enlightened One beobachtet, die im Oktober 2021 für GBP 50.250,00 (€ 59.532,68) versteigert wurde.
