Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
This work without title by Gaganendranath Tagore was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in March 2011. It achieved a price of USD 35,000.00 (€ 24,677.43), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 17%. Admittedly, works by Gaganendranath Tagore have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Bed Of Arrows (Bhishma) in October 2015 with an auction result of GBP 81,250.00 (€ 113,648.46).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Gaganendranath Tagore kam im März 2011 bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 35.000,00 (€ 24.677,43) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 17%. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Gaganendranath Tagore auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Bed Of Arrows (Bhishma) im Oktober 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 81.250,00 (€ 113.648,46).
