A top price for Gabriele Smargiassi - as previously expected
In November 2008 Christies in Milan held the auction Old Master Pictures, which included the work Il golfo di Pozzuoli da Baia by Gabriele Smargiassi. The price achieved of EUR 51,200.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 40,000.00 – 60,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Il golfo di Pozzuoli da Baia is the most expensive artwork by Gabriele Smargiassi that we have observed at auctions so far.
Ein Spitzenpreis mit Ansage
Im November 2008 führte Christies in Mailand die Auktion Old Master Pictures durch, in der auch die Arbeit Il golfo di Pozzuoli da Baia von Gabriele Smargiassi zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 51.200,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 40.000,00 – 60.000,00 angegeben worden. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist Il golfo di Pozzuoli da Baia das teuerste Kunstwerk von Gabriele Smargiassi, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
