Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Untitled #2 by Gabi Hamm was auctioned at Phillips in New York in September 2011, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of USD 5,000.00 – 7,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for USD 250.00 (€ 185.89). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Gabi Hamm achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Untitled #15 in March 2011 with an auction result of USD 6,000.00 (€ 4,230.42).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Untitled #2 von Gabi Hamm im September 2011 bei Phillips in New York versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 5.000,00 – 7.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für USD 250,00 (€ 185,89) den Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Gabi Hamm erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Untitled #15 im März 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 6.000,00 (€ 4.230,42).
