Artwork auctioned at three times the pre-set estimate
When the work Ohne Titel #18/04 by Gabi Hamm was auctioned at VAN HAM in October 2020, the result exceeded expectations many times over. The estimate was set at - in retrospect quite modest - EUR 700.00 but the actual price achieved was more than three times as high at EUR 2,678.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Gabi Hamm; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Untitled #15 sold at auction in March 2011 with the realized price of USD 6,000.00 (€ 4,230.42).
Kunstwerk zum Dreifachen des Schätzpreises versteigert
Als die Arbeit Ohne Titel #18/04 von Gabi Hamm im Oktober 2020 bei VAN HAM versteigert wurde, übertraf das Ergebnis die Erwartungen um ein Vielfaches. Der Schätzpreis war mit – rückwirkend betrachtet recht bescheidenen – EUR 700,00 angesetzt, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis hingegen war mit EUR 2.678,00 mehr als dreimal so hoch. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Gabi Hamm; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Untitled #15 im März 2011 mit dem Hammerpreis von USD 6.000,00 (€ 4.230,42).
