Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Unknown by Feng Mingqiu was auctioned at Christies in Hong Kong in April 2014. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 50,000.00 – 100,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 56,250.00 (€ 5,231.61) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Feng Mingqiu - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Light Form Script: Heart Sutra (Two Works), which sold at auction in April 2015 for HKD 137,500.00 (€ 15,890.97).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Unknown von Feng Mingqiu kam im April 2014 bei Christies in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 50.000,00 – 100.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von HKD 56.250,00 (€ 5.231,61) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Feng Mingqiu mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Light Form Script: Heart Sutra (Two Works) beobachtet, die im April 2015 für HKD 137.500,00 (€ 15.890,97) versteigert wurde.
