The blade-like high-pressure slip-cast porcelain vertical sculpture made in two parts connected by a metal armature that extends into the base, in typical form with one curved and one straight side narrowing to a sharp point at both ends and a raised ridge resembling that on a samurai sword, with a gently modulated seihakuji (bluish-green celadon) glaze, signed on the reverse under the glaze 1/8 S.
