Sold at the upper estimate price
The work Cho (Clarity), 2009 by Fukami Sueharu was auctioned at Christies in New York in March 2012. The auction ended at the price of USD 25,000.00 (€ 18,749.06), which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of USD 20,000.00 – 25,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Fukami Sueharu - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Ki: Kaze ni tatsu (Spirit: Rising on the wind), 2014, which sold at auction in March this year for USD 63,000.00 (€ 57,947.02).
Zuschlag beim oberen Schätzpreis
Die Arbeit Cho (Clarity), 2009 von Fukami Sueharu kam im März 2012 bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von USD 25.000,00 (€ 18.749,06) entsprach exakt dem oberen Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 20.000,00 – 25.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Fukami Sueharu mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Ki: Kaze ni tatsu (Spirit: Rising on the wind), 2014 beobachtet, die im März diesen Jahres für USD 63.000,00 (€ 57.947,02) versteigert wurde.
