Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2019 Christies in New York held the auction Impressionist and Modern Art Day Sale, which included the work Kleine Liegende by Fritz Wotruba. The price achieved of USD 17,500.00 (€ 15,881.66) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 15,000.00 – 20,000.00. Admittedly, works by Fritz Wotruba have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Marburger Relief - Teil 5 in December 2018 with an auction result of EUR 118,750.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2019 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Impressionist and Modern Art Day Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Kleine Liegende von Fritz Wotruba zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 17.500,00 (€ 15.881,66) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 15.000,00 – 20.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Fritz Wotruba auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Marburger Relief - Teil 5 im Dezember 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 118.750,00.
