In December 2010 Christies in London held the auction Old Masters & 19th Century Art, which included the work The dice players by Fritz Wagner. The result of GBP 2,000.00 (€ 2,319.99) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Admittedly, works by Fritz Wagner have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work A Literary Gathering in June 2005 with an auction result of GBP 15,600.00 (€ 23,120.19).
Zuschlag beim unteren Schätzpreis
Im Dezember 2010 führte Christies in London die Auktion Old Masters & 19th Century Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit The dice players von Fritz Wagner zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von GBP 2.000,00 (€ 2.319,99) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 2.000,00 – 3.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Fritz Wagner auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit A Literary Gathering im Juni 2005 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 15.600,00 (€ 23.120,19).
