Auction result well in line with expectations
The work A heavenly hand by Fritz Wagner was sold in the Old Masters & 19th Century Art auction at Christies in London in October 2010. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 3,250.00 (€ 3,747.30) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Fritz Wagner have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work A Literary Gathering in June 2005 with an auction result of GBP 15,600.00 (€ 23,120.19).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit A heavenly hand von Fritz Wagner wurde im Oktober 2010 in der Auktion Old Masters & 19th Century Art bei Christies in London versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 3.250,00 (€ 3.747,30) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Fritz Wagner auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit A Literary Gathering im Juni 2005 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 15.600,00 (€ 23.120,19).
