Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Frits Thaulow auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Snødekt by med elv og foss (Snow-covered town with waterfall) im Mai 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 96.500,00 (€ 122.752,22).
