A top price for Frits Thaulow - as previously expected
In May 2008 Christies in London held the auction Nordic Art, which included the work Snødekt by med elv og foss (Snow-covered town with waterfall) by Frits Thaulow. The price achieved of GBP 96,500.00 (€ 122,752.22) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 80,000.00 – 120,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Snødekt by med elv og foss (Snow-covered town with waterfall) is the most expensive artwork by Frits Thaulow that we have observed at auctions so far.
