In December 2020 Bukowski in Stockholm held the auction Important Winter Sale, which included the work Bords de la Rivière, Arques-la-Bataille, Brittany by Frits Thaulow. The result of SEK 150,000.00 (€ 14,938.68) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of SEK 150,000.00 – 175,000.00. Admittedly, works by Frits Thaulow have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Snødekt by med elv og foss (Snow-covered town with waterfall) in May 2008 with an auction result of GBP 96,500.00 (€ 122,752.22).
Zuschlag beim unteren Schätzpreis
Im Dezember 2020 führte Bukowski in Stockholm die Auktion Important Winter Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Bords de la Rivière, Arques-la-Bataille, Brittany von Frits Thaulow zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von SEK 150.000,00 (€ 14.938,68) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von SEK 150.000,00 – 175.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Frits Thaulow auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Snødekt by med elv og foss (Snow-covered town with waterfall) im Mai 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 96.500,00 (€ 122.752,22).
