Upper estimated price slightly exceeded

It achieved a price of USD 23,940.00 (€ 20,723.68), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 20%. Admittedly, works by Friedrich Kunath have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work My Fault Your Fault in May 2015 with an auction result of USD 118,750.00 (€ 108,013.46).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Let those I don't care days begin von Friedrich Kunath kam im Oktober 2021 bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 23.940,00 (€ 20.723,68) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 20%. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Friedrich Kunath auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit My Fault Your Fault im Mai 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 118.750,00 (€ 108.013,46).
