This artwork by Frieda Hunziker achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Amsterdam in June 2010. In the Post-War and Contemporary Art auction, the work Tropische vissen - Tropical Fish sold for EUR 16,250.00 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 6,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Frieda Hunziker; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Maskerade sold at auction in November 2010 with the realized price of EUR 23,750.00.

Dieses Kunstwerk von Frieda Hunziker erzielte im Juni 2010 bei Christies in Amsterdam einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Post-War and Contemporary Art wurde die Arbeit Tropische vissen - Tropical Fish für EUR 16.250,00 versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von EUR 6.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Frieda Hunziker; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Maskerade im November 2010 mit dem Hammerpreis von EUR 23.750,00.
