Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Until the cows come home by Frederick William Whitehead was sold in the BRITISH AND CONTINENTAL PICTURES auction at Christies in London in February 2002. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 600.00 – 800.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 646.25 (€ 1,054.62) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Frederick William Whitehead have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Old Harry Rocks, Dorset in March 2013 with an auction result of GBP 6,000.00 (€ 7,112.83).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Until the cows come home von Frederick William Whitehead wurde im Februar 2002 in der Auktion BRITISH AND CONTINENTAL PICTURES bei Christies in London versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 600,00 – 800,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 646,25 (€ 1.054,62) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Frederick William Whitehead auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Old Harry Rocks, Dorset im März 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 6.000,00 (€ 7.112,83).
