Schaeffer auction, the work Near the Common, Woking, Surrey changed hands for GBP 9,560.00 (€ 14,228.14) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Frederick William Hulme - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Sheep resting in a woodland glade, a traveller looking on, which sold at auction in November 2002 for GBP 33,460.00 (€ 52,396.64).
