Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Figures And Cattle On A River Bank At Evening by Frederick William Hulme was sold in the BRITISH AND CONTINENTAL PICTURES AND WORKS ON PAPER auction at Christies in London in March 2005. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 1,000.00 – 1,500.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 1,080.00 (€ 1,572.91) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Frederick William Hulme achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Sheep resting in a woodland glade, a traveller looking on in November 2002 with an auction result of GBP 33,460.00 (€ 52,396.64).

Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 1.000,00 – 1.500,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 1.080,00 (€ 1.572,91) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen.
