Auction result well in line with expectations
The work A Surrey Glade by Frederick William Hulme was auctioned at Christies in London in June 2002. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 6,000.00 – 10,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 6,572.50 (€ 10,166.17) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Frederick William Hulme have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Sheep resting in a woodland glade, a traveller looking on in November 2002 with an auction result of GBP 33,460.00 (€ 52,396.64).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit A Surrey Glade von Frederick William Hulme kam im Juni 2002 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 6.000,00 – 10.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 6.572,50 (€ 10.166,17) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Frederick William Hulme auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Sheep resting in a woodland glade, a traveller looking on im November 2002 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 33.460,00 (€ 52.396,64).
