The work Coyote by Frederick Sommer was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in April last year. It achieved a price of USD 18,900.00 (€ 17,936.79), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 26%. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Frederick Sommer - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work 'Livia', which sold at auction in October 2020 for USD 69,300.00 (€ 59,500.30).

Die Arbeit Coyote von Frederick Sommer kam im April letzten Jahres bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 18.900,00 (€ 17.936,79) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 26%. Für andere Arbeiten von Frederick Sommer mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit 'Livia' beobachtet, die im Oktober 2020 für USD 69.300,00 (€ 59.500,30) versteigert wurde.
